Renee Ramsey - The World’s Oldest Transgender
Renee Ramsey was a 76 year old man. An ex-GI and Green Beret(!), who is active in his old Army group, and has enjoyed marching in veteran’s parades.
Renee wanted to transition his entire life, but he loved his wife and was afraid she’d leave him. Unfortunately, his wife developed Alzheimer’s disease. (In fact, she just recently passed away). Shortly thereafter, he began the transition process.
Renee is pursuing a new career as a female to become a nurse’s aid and the Alzheimer’s facility has offered to hire her.
On the day Renee Ramsey completed surgery, her first words to Dr. Leis after waking up from the anesthesia is, “Now I feel like the lady I always wanted to be.” At 76, Renee is most likely the world’s oldest transgender person.
Today, Renee Ramsey is living her dream...and a normal life.
